Microsoft Planner (premium) version when we used for project management agile or waterfall, when we build project on the Planner we could see the category like

Name

Name in which we can easily add the task list of the current project, which you wish to see on planner eg. I took example for client wedding then data can be identify cater , photographer , venue etc.



Category and subcategory 

We can create category what it's falls in along with subcategory like suppose if the deposit amount is the category then subcategory ac amount 8000, non AC 4000 etc ..

This will help you to attach any document which is the primary part of task list or category 


Assigned to

In waterfall or agile project management  we assigned task to dedicated person to compete the task.


Duration 

Every individual task have project timeline to fullfill the requirement basis that we can meet TAT or SLA which committed to stakeholders.


Add Column 

This is very beautiful option, suppose respective owner took action on the task or not to see that we can use it add column , new files ( Y/N) if action taken then users can select Yes other wise by default is N
